Are you like me and always wake up on Monday morning and wonder…”what the heck did I do this weekend?”
{no…not because I was hooked up to some wine-drip this weekend…but just because you’re weird like me!?}
I do — all. the. time!
So, I’m going to give my tired little brain a break and blog it!
Here’s what I did this weekend!

Well, it was snowing again in Minnesota…see?
— so my family and I decided on breakfast a local Cuban joint called Victor’s 1959 Cafe.
I had a tasty spanish omelete (seasoned potatoes, grilled onions, and creole sauce) with a bottomless cup o’joe. So good.
Then, the “Charlie Brown” theme song played in my head as I took little Frankie to the vet. He was overdue for a few shots and such, so I knew it would be an eventful trip. It was hilarious, he was totally fine waiting for our awesome veterinarian, but once he gave us the go-ahead to come on back, Frankie turned and started walking to the outside door. Poor pup, but he survived!
Since I had just gotten home earlier in the week from Colorado, my husband, Bryan and I decided on a date night. That started at 10 p.m.
There is a great sushi restaurant very close to our house called Wakame. They also have a killer sushi happy hour that starts at 9:30 p.m. We filled our tummies with really good, but way too much sushi for that time of day! I woke up full on Saturday. . .

What are the best Saturdays made of? Hot coffee, pajamas, your favorite worn-in Black Hills t-shirt, and angel card readings!
For those of you who know, I am still working on becoming a certified angel card reader (think very, gentle but effective communication with our higher self and angels!). Because I was out of town for so long, I decided to a few (hint: a lot) of readings for myself!
I can’t wait to share more of this with you and start to incorporate weekly angel card readings on my website for all you out there!
In the evening, I made some awesome shrimp tacos! You have to try this recipe. . .it is so easy! And then Bryan and I went over to a friend’s new place!

5/5, or as many people know it, Cinco de Mayo!
I love numerology, so I made sure to look up what 5/5 means (most simply: winds of change are blowing!) and also accompany that with a margarita!
But before that margarita, Bryan and I made our way to Wisconsin (only about a half hour from our house) for a morning of hiking at Willow River State Park.
We bought an annual pass so we didn’t feel bad not getting to explore everything we wanted that day. I’m looking forward to getting back! Has anyone else explored this area?
From there, we drove over to Hudson, WI to enjoy blackened chicken nachos and that awesome margarita at San Pedro Cafe!
Once we were home…what better to do than take a nap? That’s what Sundays are for, right!?
Now — I want to know — what did you do this weekend? Go ahead, share!
So glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t know where my weekends go…for entirely boring, non-alcohol-induced reasons… Sounds like a great time!!
Right!? Seriously thanks for letting me know I’m not *too* crazy!
