Sedona, Arizona is a magical place. Not only is it beautiful, but there is plenty to do for every age and passion.
There are great restaurants, tons of spiritual resources, killer margaritas and plenty of options for those looking to find some breathing room.
Here are my top 13 things to do when visiting Sedona:
- Visit the mystical vortexes. Notice the change in energy…each has their own unique “feeling.”
- Grab a margarita and a bison burger at Cowboy Club
- Hike or mountain bike Bell Rock/Courthouse Rock trail. You’ll even come home with a free souvenir: red dirt in your shoes!
- Light a candle for peace, love, harmony or anyone at Chapel of the Holy Cross
- Eat authentic Mexican food at Elote Cafe
- If it’s warm enough, take a dip in Slide Rock State Park (about 10 min. outside of Sedona on Highway 89A North toward Flagstaff)
- Sip an organic 16-oz latte on a patio overlooking Snoopy Rock at Pink Java Cafe
- Make room for breakfast (try the turkey pastrami, egg and spinach sandwich) at Wildflower Bread Company. It is similar to Panera, but local and so, so yummy.
- Get raw at ChocolaTree Organic Cafe with a green smoothie and Ecuadorian chocolate
- Order the deep-dish quiche of the day and gorgonzola cole slaw at Secret Garden Cafe at Tlaquepaque. Ask for Shannon to be your server. She’s the best.
- Shop at Body Bliss in Uptown Sedona for some beautiful jewels and gemstones. The service is friendly and warm…which always makes it easy to support a small business.
- Off road on a Pink Jeep Tour…seriously, do it.
- Get a psychic reading. Now, I do not have a first hand experience with this in Sedona. But, I would definitely get a recommendation on a specific person before you go. Make sure they’re legit and not “over-worked.”

Editor’s note: Sedona is a great place to “go with the flow.” Let your heart guide you to the right places, or just stay in one place if you feel. You cannot go wrong here!
Hi Blair!
With all these fantastic blog posts, I could have commented on each one! Sincere congrats to you on a beautiful and inviting blog. LOVE IT! Thank you for sharing your thoughts as you journeyed on your solo-trip. SO brave of you…and you inspire others to realize this is possible for them, too!
Lucky me, I saw almost all the same places you did when I was in Sedona. But the first thing that came to mind when you asked for a suggestion is this. Go out at night and find an area of the city away from lights (which is easy to do in this dimly lit community!) and STARGAZE. It’s magical. And quiet. And spiritual. There’s no place like Sedona, ya know?
Thanks, Blair, and much love to you!

Hello Michelle!
Thank you for the wonderfully kind comment! I really hope to convey a feeling of comfort, inspiration and of course, FUN! 🙂
WOW…I’ll have to go back just for that reason…I love stargazing. And you’re right, no better place to experience that than Sedona!
Much love!

Blair, I have fallen down the rabbit hole of your blog. I totally relate to so many things and could comment on every one. My husband and I got engaged in Sedona on A PINK JEEP tour. Too funny. Our similarities continue.
I love it when I’m sparked with interest in another person…we are all connected, some more than others 😉
