Colbalt blue. Gold dots. 200 pages of fresh thoughts.
An invitation to “I’m ready for something new.” A call to the future, yet a promise to stay in the present. A reminder to stay grounded as I dance with the angels toward my goals.
Recently, I said goodbye to my trusty ol’ pink and white striped notebook. Each page was filled with 2013 wishes, weekly to do lists (that didn’t get crossed off as quickly as I’d hoped), tools and tips I’ve learned from my Certified Angel Card Reader and Spiritual Writer ecourses, doodles (a lot of hearts, if you’re wondering), notes for my upcoming book, scribbled titles, blog ideas, and love notes to my hubby.
I love all of my notebooks. They’re like my kind of diary, both overly organized and completely scattered. Totally me. I’m a walking, talking balancing act. They help me remember where I’ve been and what I’ve accomplished, but they also fill up and then they no longer serve me anymore.
Yesterday, I reached my last blank page. I tore out what I needed, gave thanks to rest, and recycled my trusty companion. It was time to physically let go of what I no longer needed. It felt good. To honor where I’ve been, and look forward to where I’m going. A little ceremony to let. it. all. go.
And now I’m at a brand new blank page. Begging me to start. To just begin wherever I can and with whatever I have. So I’m going forth. Literally starting a new chapter in my life thanks to a new notebook.
As with most of my other notebooks, I start with an invocation. I use “I AM” affirmations to dedicate my trusty friend for the next, oh six months or so.
So what will it be this time?
How do you feel when you start upon a blank page in your life? Literally or otherwise? Are you open and excited – I hope so — because sometimes there’s nothing better than a fresh start! Sending you love and light today wherever you are on your journey. You are worthy of infinite possibilities!
Funny, I just stumbled into your blog again after a while and find this post. Only a few weeks ago I found a really nice “home” for my dairy…but as my last one ist not full yet, I have to write and write to be allowed to start the new one. 😉 I normally have books over books for different kind of things. One to write ma dairy in, one (or 2-3) art journals, inspiration books, sketch books.
In this new dairy I would really like to incorperate a few more things. My daily writings of course, but also snippets, cards, little sketchings, lists…
Very brave to take your old notebook and simply let go of it…I still have dairies and notebooks that go back to 1986…(I think I should think about decluttering, do I?)
Have a great day – Irma
I’m so glad you’re here Irma! I think it’s awesome that you keep your notebooks/diaries! Do you have a special time where you look back at them? That would be so fascinating I’m sure! Blessings!!
