We aren’t born into one path.
As we enter this lifetime, we are offered a little something called…free will…or the power of choice.
Many of us are raised to believe that, sadly, there really is only that one little path and we’re all supposed to take it. The path is awfuly crowded, loud, kinda cranky, and sometimes…well, boring! Some of us start to feel these truths, but think there isn’t another option.
A few more people start to notice the seemingly small details that line this “one path,” like budding bright flowers, busy bees, the vast expanse in the distance, and that distinct air of freedom that tickles our noses. But, they simply just choose to admire.
Next, a small amount of people will actually choose to immerse themselves into the unknown and veer completely off the path.
Embarking on the unpaved road can be frightening, dark, full of choices YOU have to make, twisty detours, and maybe a lion or two. Many don’t choose this path because of the things I mentioned above.
But when they do, they soon find themselves stronger, open to new ideas and thoughts, filled with more empathy, love, energy, and what we’re all seeking: purpose.
The road becomes your friend and your greatest teacher.
What’s something you can do today to venture off the paved trail for a moment or two?
Really listen to your body and how it feels when you do so…the answer might surprise you. The most magnificent magic always happens when you’re outside of your comfort zone.
Taking the path less traveled is the way to go. The way to live a much happier and enriched life. Lovely post.
Sure is! Glad to have you “on it” with me 😉 Enjoy your weekend Suzanne!
Great photo Blair! Love this post too. Veering, veering…
