OMG HI!
Holy moly people…my feet are finally starting to feel firm on the ground again! I am so thrilled to be back in the blogging saddle after spending some major quality time with my heart and fingers typing away on my book proposal! The fact that you are still here and reading this makes me feel all sparkly inside! So, again…THANK YOU!
Wanna catch up? This post will be a little all over the map, but it’s fun to be a spaz sometimes!
My BIG “book proposal that could”
After a month of pleading with myself to have confidence in what I wrote and would be sending out…the Aries full moon and lunar eclipse really kicked my spiritual ass into gear! The week before I was focused, feeling free, creative, and excited about tying a pretty bow on my book proposal. I turned it in a week earlier than needed…love that…and now I have until November 28 to hear if anything comes of it. There will be three writers chosen to become a part of the Hay House/Balboa Press universe. I’m sending good vibes their way every day…hey it can’t hurt right? 🙂
I’ll keep you all updated on what happens and then hopefully I will be able to share more about my book and the title I chose, which I happen to love almost as much as all the content in the book! I think you’ll really love it too!
Thanks for ALL your loving kindness and support on this journey. I am so proud to say I committed fully to something and saw it all the way through to the “end” (whatever that means, right!?).
Oh yeah…I’m 18 weeks pregnant…how on Earth did that happen already?
I mean really. If working on my book proposal wasn’t BIG enough…this is really the BIG thing happening in my life right now.
Here’s what’s been happening with me and my little bambino (or bambina)…we’re not finding out for another 20+ weeks or so 😉 Do you have any guesses? I’d LOVE to hear them!
How I’ve been feeling
After I entered my second trimester, I slowly started to feel human again. My nausea subsided, but was replaced with some stinging headaches for a week or two, and the best part…my energy returned and I felt like a productive member of society again! Wahoo!
Most recently, I’ve been great with a few exceptions of headaches every now and then. I find that a cold compress on the back of my neck and some peppermint oil usually do the trick. Yay for being an already super crunchy mama!
I’m in maternity pants now and I seriously wonder why we just don’t wear pants like these all the time. C’mon…super comfy!
Sleeping has been amazing…for the first time in my life I can completely conk out with no problem. Trying to train myself not to sleep on my tummy though is hard!
What’s going on with baby
I am so, so thrilled to say I have been feeling LOTS of movement this week! I felt some flutters as early as 11 weeks (seriously!), but it came once in a blue moon. Now, I feel movement every day and it feels like a little push from the inside. Sounds weird, but it’s very comforting. It happens most often in the evening and morning when I’m starting to wake up.
Our lil bub is the size of a sweet potato and it’s really hard to believe the home it’s living in (that’s my uterus, peeps) is the size of a cantaloupe…what!? That seems so HUGE!
We have our 20-week ultrasound on 11/12/13 (yes, this crazy numerology lover CHOSE that date…gosh I am so weird!), so good vibes would be appreciated and accepted graciously! Can’t wait to share the first photo of baby with you!
Baby’s first…
Around 15 weeks, Bryan and I traveled to Lincoln, Nebraska to see one of my all-time favorite bands for our fifth anniversary, the Eagles! We had an awesome time in section 111 (also chosen by this weirdo!) and it’s so cool to know that the baby could hear at that point! First concert! Now I just need an Eagles onesie…
A few weeks ago, Bryan surprised me with tickets to Wicked! We finally saw the musical that everyone is raving about! It was a visual treat and the music was insanely good! Baby’s first Broadway musical!
Cravings
Oh boy, well it changes every day, but one thing that hasn’t changed so far is my love for carbs. Yup. I’ve always known I’ve been Italian at heart. Butter on toast, noodles (I try to keep it semi-healthy with some quinoa pasta), pizza, cereal…oh goodness. Of course, I still try and do my best to “eat the rainbow” everyday…getting lots of veggies, fruit, and protein in!
Staying fit
I have not stopped working out since I’ve become pregnant. I usually allow myself to take one day off a week, but otherwise, I’ve been running three times per week, walking 2-3 miles on the days I’m not running, prenatal yoga, prenatal Pilates, and using free weights. Now I don’t to all of these on the same day, I mix it up. I’ll be creating a prenatal workout post soon! Working out really makes me feel “normal” and great…I’m sad if I have to miss a day and it’s very good for baby!
Yeah, for all the awesome and exciting things happening in your life Blair. Love and understand your passion for numbers. I’ve got similar weirdness happening with me too. I join you. 🙂 Lots of positive vibes sent your way with baby, pregnancy, feeling good and your book proposal. I can really sense the baby love you are being blessed with already. Such a beautiful time in your life. xoxo
I am loving all the positive vibes you’re sending my way! Thank you so much. I’m truly enjoying this magical time and trying my best to savor every moment! Hope all is wonderful with you…sending you lots of joy! xo
