Hello again!
I can’t believe I have to leave Sedona tomorrow…both the energy and calmness that I get when I’m here is hard to beat. But…there are a few things missing. Mainly, my fun-loving best pal (my husband) isn’t here. We really enjoy traveling together, so that has been hard for me. It seems everywhere I turn, I find myself thinking “ahh, Bryan would really love this!” Oh, love…{cue the sappy music}.
My day started out at the airport vortex. Even though I was feeling a bit bittersweet, when I stepped foot on the trail, I immediately had the feelings of “heck yeah, I can do anything!” Interesting and enlightening since I really have issues with confidence, believing in myself and being scared of the unknown. Check out what the “pros” say about this vortex:
The energy at this vortex strengthens the masculine side.
The Masculine Side can be seen as being on a scale that has strength at the high end and weakness at the low end. People who have a strong masculine side are self-confident. They have the internal strength to take charge of their own lives, and to claim their rights in life. This make them good at standing up to people who try to take away their rights by force, intimidation or manipulation. Having a strong masculine side means being good at taking risks when appropriate, being decisive when necessary, and being able to focus or concentrate in order to get things done. It also means being good at figuring out how to get out of life what is desired; figuring out how to operate responsibly, and how to reason without distorting reality. Conversely, people who have a weak masculine side often doubt their abilities, and many things intimidate them.

Not to mention, the views from this area are some of the best in town.
After feeding my soul, I was looking for a little body-nourishment. I had been driving by Chocolatree Cafe for the past few days and it was begging me for a visit. Chocolatree is a 100% organic eatery that serves both raw and cooked food. And they have pleged to be entirely processed-sugar free {they had me at “100% organic”}. They are also famous for their raw Ecuadorian chocolate that is made in-house (I’m regretting not purchasing some treats to bring home).
I jump-started my day with this:
A ‘go green’ smoothie (as you can see, even the heavens approve!)
This green monster is made with fresh coconut milk, banana, avocado, spirulina, agave nectar and Himalayan goji berries. YUM!
Of course, I had to partake in a little more shopping to find the perfect souvineir my hubs. I was thinking about this buffalo horn…
It was only $9, but I walked away empty handed. Kinda cool, though! I settled on something a little more practical, although I can’t say right now, since he’s reading!
Overall, Sedona has been magical. I’ve learned a lot, grown my confidence and had a lot of time for peace. I have to say that I’m pretty sad to be leaving, but I know I will be back…and next time I am totally getting zen with vortex yoga hiking, going off-roading on a Pink Jeep tour, eating at the Cowboy Club (SO my kind of place) and free-ranging with a horseback ride.
One of my best moments so far has been this:
A solo hike near Bell Rock. I would love to walk this every morning…
It’s been quite a journey so far. Tomorrow, I’m back to New Mexico for my last night…I really can’t believe it’s almost over.
