Are you on a path to healing?
Maybe you (or someone you know) has had a traumatic birth, a miscarriage, loss of a child, a long slow-dance with a postpartum mood disorder…the list could go on…
First, I want you to know how much courage and bravery it takes to choose (yes! It’s a choice!) to heal. It can be scary to know you need to move forward, and the unknowingness of what it will feel like in your new place of emotional residence. But you’re doing it. Your friend is doing it. But often found on the path to healing are detours, road construction, and what seem like setbacks.
For example, certain events, like say, Mother’s Day, can be a “detour” to healing. It shines a light on a crack that has not yet fully healed.
So this Mother’s Day, maybe you know someone who is still on the healing journey. Could you reach out to her? Send love and light? Give her a big ol’ bear hug? Just something to help her find the courage to begin or continue healing.
We moms are in this together. We mother our children and each other. We lift up those who need that extra dose of love. It’s a big responsibility, but it is one that we were born to do.
Healing takes courage. Continue on your journey and believe me…you are doing your best!
