Remember, last week when I was on an emotional roller coaster? Well — this week has been nothing but sunshine and roses!
Without further ado, here is my Little Bliss List:
1. BIG news!
I am going to be published in Tiny Buddha!!!!!!!! WHOOOHOOOO!
{Tiny Buddha is an inspirational website filled with simple wisdom for complex lives}
I cannot tell you how excited I am to share with you, and the Tiny Buddha community, a story that digs deeper into my past bullying experience.
…Coming to the world sometime in June 2012! Stay tuned!
My sister randomly decided to drive home from Chicago for a weekend visit. Since my five-person family was unable to be together on Easter, we hit up an awesome Chinese restaurant in the Twin Cities area, Yangtze, for a celebration a-la A Christmas Story!
The food was SO good that I’ve been asking my husband if we can get takeout ever since! Oh, and the company was pretty fun, too!
They also serve up fun, fruity, tropical cocktails. My hubs ordered the ‘zombie’ (light and dark rum with fruit juices) and I ordered the ‘Yangtze punch’ (fresh peach cream and rum).
3. Super secret Saturday special
Clandesdine is a monthly supper club hosted in a Minneapolis home. Every month a different chef from the local cooking community develops a menu to serve to a small seating for only one night.
My husband and I got to be a part of that ‘small seating’ this past week!
One of our friends is a talented chef at an amazing restaurant in Minneapolis called Restaurant Alma. He was the featured chef and whipped up four drool-worthy courses (shown above).
My favorite course was the chicken and waffles — I had never tried the combo before…so good!
4. Girls day out at Diana: A Celebration
From the time I was quite small, I have always loved Princess Diana. Her light shined so bright as a beacon of hope and peace for so many. Her charge in life was to help those that could not help themselves — a beautiful journey that genuinely inspires me.
My mom, sister, and I got to check out the roving exhibit, Diana: A Celebration at Mall of America. I loved learning more about her, and of course, seeing “the dress.”
