WANTED: magical mama wisdom.
You’ve got it. Now, I want you to flaunt it! Puhlease?
I’ve haphazardly put together a little list of what I am (currently) planning on adding to my baby registry…one that has a wee bit of green/eco consciousness for that crunchy side of me I just cannot deny.
For the “big” stuff (stroller, crib, yada yada yada…), I need you to sound off with suggestions and your favorites. You know you want to!
Thanks in advance for your help! What would women do without one another?!
The crunchy mama starter registry!
Row 1. . .
Soffie the Giraffe // everyone raves about this BPA-free and super cute teether!
Cloth diapers + inserts // I don’t have a specific company in mind yet, I have plenty of research to do! Or, maybe you have some tips? Pretty please!
ERGObaby carrier // all my mama friends say this is the perfect (and most comfortable for baby) carrier! Do you have one?
Miracle Blanket // again, I hear my friends swear by this little cozy coupe for la bebe
Row 2. . .
NoseFrida // yep, we’re definitely gonna need this Swedish-made snot sucker
Himalayan salt lamp // this is my ideal night light for the nursery…nothing like a little purifying and loving negative ions to fill the air!
Lifefactory glass bottles // no BPA for this baby! I know there are some plastic bottles that are BPA free too (have a favorite brand?)…but these are just so cute!
Row 3. . .
Ultrasonic cool mist humidifier // help the baby sleep better by breathing easy and white noise? Sign me up!
Baby Bee Getting Started Kit // I love Burt’s Bees products for myself and I bet I’ll love their baby shampoo, wash, lotion, bum cream, and oil!
Boon Grass Drying Rack // uh…this is so adorable it may even make cleaning fun!
I wanna know!

PS: Where should I register? I’m loving Amazon + was also thinking Target. Currently…not a huge fan of Babies ‘R Us…or am I just crazy not to register there?
Oh where do I begin?!
1. We love our Sophie the Giraffe! I suggest having 2 in case you lose one like we did!
3. We have had fabulous luck with Dr Browns and Born Free bottles and they both have glass options. Great for babies to reduce air intake!
4. Nose Frida-AMEN! Can’t live without it!
5. Boon grass, flower, and twig!
6. Bob stroller!
7. Aden and Anais swaddle blankets. Jude didn’t like to be swaddled much so we just use them for lightweight blankets and they are fabulous!
8. White noise machine for baby’s room.
9. Chicco infant car seat. Specifically the KeyFit30. Now we bought a Britax Boulevard and a Britax Pavilion for his next level up car seat.
10. Breast pump-I have a medela pump in style advanced. It wasn’t hands free so I had to buy a pumping bra which wasn’t a big deal. The Medela Freestyle is hands free though!
11. Summer video monitor! I LOVE having a video monitor. If you hear him make a noise you can just peek on there instead of actually having to go in there.
I could go on for days! If I think of more, I’ll come back 🙂
Lindsay – this is SO incredibly helpful! SERIOUSLY! Thank you! I am so excited to register, but it seems overwhelming…this helps a ton! xoxox
I 100% agree with Lindsay’s #1, #3, #4, #7!
and off your list right now I have & LOVE my Ergo, the tear-drop humidifier, Sofie & i’m a huge fan of the miracle blanket.
As for baby toiletries…I’ve used California Baby products with both girls & I’m beyond impressed with them. I started using them b/c of my own allergies (soy/wheat/nuts) b/c I couldn’t have the oils on my hands & they have been fantastic. We use the “Super Sensitive” wash & lotion.
My top to recommendations for baby registry items are the Fisher Price Rock N Play Sleeper & a Snap N Go stroller.
both of my girls slept in the RNP for 5-6 months. It helps with congestion if they are sick & reflux if they are unlucky enough to have it (Kinley did.) Even if you don’t use it for nighttime sleeping…it’s perfect for around the house & travel. We bring it to friend’s houses that don’t have kids all the time b/c it folds flat.
Snap N Go i a godsend when you are out with baby alone. I grocery shop with it, go to target, the mall, restaurants, run random errands, etc. It’s great b/c it isn’t as bulky & heaving as a normal stroller & also makes it so you don’t have to take baby out of the carseat.
now…i have an infant insert for the Ergo i don’t need anymore…so if you want it, it’s yours! text me! xo
Lya! THANK YOU! This list ROCKS…I’m much more excited and comfortable to register now. And I for sure will take that off your hands 😉 You’re so sweet! XO neighbor!
