When was the last time you took a luxurious, deep breath of fresh oxygen in? Well, let’s give it a go right now.
One of my favorite ways to curb my anxiety, racing thoughts, and even feelings of sadness or overwhelm is to incorporate two breathing exercises.
The first: 4-7-8 breath
Breathe in for four counts, hold for seven, exhale for eight
The second: 6-6 breath
Breathe in for six counts, exhale for six counts
With each cycle you can think “I am breathing in…I am breathing out.”
Helps you to just focus on your breath
Mamas…you can always return to your breath. The fuel for your spirit. The energy you need for all your lovely work.
