My little bliss list this week has everything to do with the “not-so-little” things.
I can easily breeze (or sometimes plod) through my day feeling like I don’t have much to be grateful for. I’m sure some of you have felt this same way, too.
I have to say, when I feel that way, I have absolutely no reason to!
So, let’s start the bliss rolling:
OMG…I have a house. A flippin’ house (!!), you guys! A safe place to retreat to. A roof over my head. Sunny windows. A lovely, 1929 charmer in a sweet little neighborhood. And you know what comes with my house? A whole heckofalot! Let’s see….
- Heat or air conditioning depending on the weather. Comfort, people.
- Cupboards to bring home my food to
- Shelves and closets to hang my clothes
- A shower with warm water to cleanse me
- Electricity to power my computer, that helps me do most of my work, the lights, refrigerator, and TV
- Two amazing machines: a washer and a dryer! Woah! THANK YOU!
- A lock on my door
- A garage that tucks my car (that always gets me around easily and safely) in at night
- Of course, a bed, filled with cozy blankets and pillows, where I can rest peacefully and recharge
I am now excited about all these BIG things that are present in my life not only this week, but every. single. day!
There is so much to be greatful for that I often forget about. And I’m positive there’s a million more bits of bliss to be found in my home.
Wanna help? Share yours to remind me—and maybe you too!

And such sweet house it is! Definitely worth some appreciation and gratitude!
Thanks Lorinda 🙂 xoxo!
That is something to be grateful for that we so often take for granted. Not everyone has these gifts in their lives for a variety of reasons. We truly are blessed.
You are so right. This is a huge reminder for me when I start complaining about what I “don’t have”. 🙂
I am grateful for my cats! They greet me a “hello” every morning and a snuggle every night before bed. They are never judgmental or complain. Mine are very good listeners when I need an ear and provide many smiles! There are soooo many more things to be grateful for in my house and just this one made my day! Thanks for the reminder to sit up and take notice!
Oh Julianne – I love this! Your cats are the greatest 🙂 What gifts! xoxoxox
I love how you are truly feeling blessed about your beautiful sweet place you call your home. It’s so lovely. Thank you for sharing with us and allowing us to visit your little piece of this world.
