It’s the last day of January.
That may mean, for me at least, that you are feeling like you haven’t accomplished all those “want tos” and “have tos” this month. Or, maybe you’re disappointed you fell off the resolution wagon.
First. . .I promise you, it’s OK!
And, instead of feeling bad, ashamed or worthless, you have the power to change that sad little tune you’re humming. . .
*1*
Give yourself (big) credit for all the (little) steps you have already accomplished
*2*
Stay in the absolute present moment. What can you do literally right now to feel better about your goal, motivation, self, etc.? Here’s a quick hint: put your thinker on pause and use your heart to give gratitude for this very moment.
*3*
If you’re feeling lazy, so what! Be lazy! If you’re feeling even just the slightest nudge of motivation, jump on it! Whatever you’re going to do, just BE.
*4*
Act as if you have already accomplished everything you want! “I AM” affirmations are the most powerful tool to shape your reality!
*5*
Feeling s-t-u-c-k? Move your body! Seriously, stagnation in your body creates stagnation in your mind and motivation. Get moving!
*6*
That whole thing about “there will always be time”. . .well, that’s just an excuse. Stop glorifying the notion of being busy, or waiting for the “right time.” Choose to do just one thing in the now.
*7*
Know that the goodness and happiness that you’re seeking is here right now. You don’t need anything or anyone to be happy. Again, be at peace in this exact space and time.
*8*
Lastly, remember, balance is key. Humans are not supposed to be DOING things all the time. We are human beings. Allow your lovely self to just be.
Each one of these are great tips Blair. I truly appreciated reading this post. There are several that I can start to focus on right now that will help me on this part of my journey. xo
Thanks! I really needed these little tips at the time. I am learning to let myself “be” whatever that may be at the time. It’s best for everyone 🙂 xo!
