  1. If you think you can’t take a solo trip, you can’t. But if you think you can take a solo trip, you CAN!

  2. Leaping with your heart will make your soul bubble over with possibility

  3. Be present, be open and enjoy the highs and lows

  4. Let go of expectations and go with the flow

  5. Eat and explore where the locals frequent

  6. Put a damn smile on your face! It’s not only contagious to others, but it will quietly encourage happiness and joy in yourself!

  7. Come with a plan, but also be prepared to fly by the seat of your pants (sometimes it’s more fun that way!)

  8. If you think people are staring, they aren’t

  9. If you think you look like a tourist, you most likely do

  10. It’s not bad to look like a tourist, just have fun

  11. Living outside of your comfort zone helps your heart, mind and soul to grow

  12. Trader Joe’s is a snack God-send (Powerberries, broccoli with hummus and buffalo jerky are key!)

  13. Get up, get out and move your bod if all else fails

  14. You are going to very paranoid about where your rental car keys are until day 3 of 7

  15. There are many like-minded, open-hearted and kind people if you open up

  16. It’s nice not to wear makeup for a week (if your soul needs to breathe, so does your skin!)

  17. Wine tastes just as delicious out of Styrofoam cups

  18. Singing on an open road (especially Huey Lewis and the News tunes) is very cathartic

  19. True love will take on another meaning once you return; the support and encouragement from friends and family runs deep

  20. YOU can do it! You CAN do it! You can DO IT!
