It felt good to truly follow through with relaxing and doing nothing. I’m the kind of person that is getting over that feeling of “always having to do something toward my life’s purpose/work.” Sometimes the best way to get there is to stop and not pursue anything toward my mission. And that’s just what I did for these past three days!
Have to say…I’m feeling a lot more refreshed and excited to get back to work tomorrow. Every body needs and deserves a break! Hope you treated yourself to this this weekend!
Whenever Memorial Day weekend rolls around, I imagine low 80s, going on a few missions to acquire ice cream, and getting a little sun. So, I was daydreaming of this:
But what I really got was this:
I call it: the great greysby. Temps in the 50s, drizzle, and a harsh wind. Humph. Well…I made the most of it and had a great time besides no sun!

My Mom and I went out to one of our favorite cute little cafes in the area, Living Waters in Minnetonka. It is an organic cafe with awesome salads (get the green goddess!), pizza, breakfast (as you can see!), and now a new espresso bar! I am a latté connoisseur, and I an extra pep-in-my-step just thinking about this baby! I have to say it really is the best latté I’ve had in the Twin Cities! Need to go back now!
- Even though the clouds were out to play, I still pretended I could get some sun! At least I could be outside 🙂
- Then I decided to get all crafty — which rarely happens, but I found to be really fun! There are too many June birthdays in my life to count, so I decided to make some homemade cards! I think they’re pretty cute!
- I had been craving pretzel M&Ms so I had to grab some while I was on my craft run. And just like that, I brought out a crystal bowl I was gifted for my wedding and properly placed my treats in it. That was the very moment I became my dear Grandmother. I think it actually makes the M&Ms taste better. . .

Besides putting off cleaning the house, and working out, my day consisted of one thing and one thing only: Arrested Development! My favorite TV show is back (finally!) on Netflix!
My sister and her boyfriend had my family over for a viewing party — I had to bring wine with straws (aka unlimited juice), there were Bluth frozen bananas, estrogen pills (OK…Tic Tacs), but no sightings of cut-offs. Darn. I am so thrilled this show is back, even just for a bit. I only made it to episode six so don’t spoil anything quite yet!

No pics from today! I was struck with a crazy headache and dizziness. I’m calling it my full moon hangover. Yup. We had an intense full moon and lunar eclipse on Friday/Saturday and a lot of people often either feel like a live wire or a wet noodle. I was a live wire, transitioned into a wet noodle, and then had a major headache hangover. Good times!
But, I did get to eat some strawberry shortcake and play a little Trivial Pursuit! And that was that 🙂
Now. . . everyone wants to know what you did this weekend!
