Sadness about my miscarriage has resurfaced this week. With Mother’s Day approaching, twinges of pain in my heart have stopped me in my tracks. Maybe you, or someone you know, is feeling this way too. . .
Deep in my heart I send you love.
Light beams through each piece of my soul to send you a warm embrace, a tender word, a sense of complete wholeness.
Sometimes being a mom means your baby isn’t in your arms.
Mothers carry babies in their hearts too.
Holding them close with as much deep love and affection as if we could feel their little hands reaching for our embrace.
Knowing that one day we will dive into the pools of their eyes.
Kiss their perfectly chubby cheeks a million times over.
Allow pure bliss to rush over us as we cradle them during a 3 a.m. feeding.
Gently rocking them back to sleep as their tiny fingers twirl our hair.
Comforting us as much as we comfort them.
As the babe returns to dream land, we dream of the day they speak the words that seals every mother’s soul: “mama.”
You will hear those words.
Appreciate yourself for who you are in this very moment.
Fully surrender to your strength and bravery.
You are a spiritual warrior, a teacher, one who chooses to give gratitude to the preciousness of life.
Changing the world one piece of your heart at a time.
Let your love be in full bloom.
Like the promise of a rose, the more you open, the more light you emit.
Don’t be afraid to allow yourself the celebration of being a mother today…and every day.
I am with you.
Your children are with you.
You are loved, and oh so beautiful.
